If the past 2 (two) years you were told by our management that you are not competent or not skilled enough to provide breaks to other nurses or to perform in a role of Action Team nurse, did management offer you any training that will improve your skills or make you competent to perform in Break Relief and Action Team Roles?
Comments:
- I would like to see unit wide training for all nurses to participate in action role.
- I wanted to be train as an Action team in this facility. Specially that I have a strong experience doing Rapid Response Nurse in my previous job. I express my interest to the mgt. but was not given an opportunity to be train.
- Every year we (ALL ICU RN) gets skills day.
- Management team has given me great feedback always on how I am doing with my job . I report to the management when staff tells me and with my experienced and observations who doesn’t to a very good job as support . Sometimes they don’t listen just because . Pls understand not everyone is break and or support specially action team material . Doctors will say their the action team nurses are like their “ PA” or doctors assistant . We need to excel with all aspects of nursing not just pt care or doing our job competently.
- But I prefer not to participate in Action Team RN.
