ICU Survey Results

The purpose of this survey is to assist the Union in establishing Fair and Healthy Working Environment for all of our ICU Nurses, and to set the stage for achieving spectacular outcomes for our Patients. The QR Code for the survey was posted in the ICU Break room. Survey was open to all nurses from 04/17/25 till 05/31/25 for 45 days. Because 4 nurses have responded twice, their initial answers (duplicates) were removed. In total, 111 out of approximately 1501 of our ICU nurses have completed this survey. Out of 150 nurses 5 (five) nurses were excluded from a total count of because they have indicated that they have no opinion regarding any of the Survey questions, and are neutral on the issues raised by the Survey. The total count was reduced to 145 nurses accordingly. The Statistical Analysis for responses to each question was thoroughly calculated and presented.

The Survey Questions 1-3 and Questions 22 and 23 are asking for responder’s personal information which will be kept in Confidentiality as it was guaranteed to prevent any discrimination, retaliation, and/or bullying. The personal information was collected to ensure the integrity of the Survey. Below are the rest of the Survey questions and and inquiries. Per responses to Question # 3, the Median for ICU Experience of our nurses is 17 years, which is significantly higher of the Nationwide Median of 7 years. This means that comparing to Nationwide median for ICU units experience, our ICU nursing force is significantly more experienced.

  1. Total number of nurses employed in our ICU fluctuates between 140 and 150. Currently, as of June 1st of 2025, we have 148 nurses employed in our ICU, but for the purposes of this survey we are using the highest N of 150 to ensure survey validity and reliability. ↩︎
