Survey Question # 13

Rationale:

During preliminary inquiry into the issues involving Action Team assignments the Union has discovered that some of our nurses are not aware of the fact the Action Team RN assignment is being rotated in other Kaiser’s hospitals among nearly all willing ICU Nurses. Therefore, to assess the overall awareness of this fact, the Union has included the following question in the Survey:

Are you aware of the fact that the Action Team RN assignment is being currently rotated among nearly all ICU Nurses at the Kaiser Roseville Medical Center, and at the Kaiser South Sacramento Medical Center?

ChoicesResponse %Response Count
Yes, I am aware18.92 %21
No, I was not aware until now81.08 %90

Statistical Analysis: This survey results clearly shows that prior to this survey, between 76.43% and 85.73% of our ICU nurses were unaware of the fact that at Kaiser Roseville and South Sacramento Medical Centers the Action Team assignment is being currently rotated among nearly all ICU nurses. These findings were calculated by using scientific formula at the highest possible 99% confidence level, with a margin of error of 4.65% and a p-score of 0.8108.

Conclusion: This result demonstrates lack of awareness of the fact that rotation of Action Team assignment is being currently practiced in other Kaiser hospitals including Kaiser Roseville and South Sacramento Medical Centers.
